Using Your Sunglasses To Look In-Style This Summer
It seems as though glasses and sunglasses are becoming more and more prominent in the fashion world, as they can say such a huge amount about your own personal image.
Also, UK fashion seems to be really focused on colour this year; how your outfit and accessories match (or otherwise) can make a huge statement about your sense of style and fashion. Particular colour trends appear to be anything that can be referred to as ‘vintage’.
With that in mind, here are some top tips to making sure your sunglasses fit your outfit, and look on trend for the summer months.
Match accessories
Try and match your sunglasses to your other accessories (your shoes, bag, etc) in a way that complements the colour of your main outfit; get some good designer sunglasses. If you want to be top of the style charts (and you’ve got the money), grab yourself a pair of matching Jimmy Choo shoes and Jimmy Choo sunglasses – the vintage colour scheme with the trademark red strip would look ideal on any woman wanting to look super cool this summer.
Go for vintage sunglasses:
Vintage really seems to be one of the hotter trends this year, get yourself a vintage outfit with sunglasses to match and you’ll be band on trend for the 2010 summer. You could try the cat’s eye style sunglasses for a great on-trend look; the retro-inspired look ticking all the right fashion boxes.
Go for rectangular frames
The rectangular frame is right back in fashion, particularly after this look was pulled off so well in US TV series’ ‘Mad Men’.. Some prominent celebrity followers of this trend include Alyssa Milano and Justin Timberlake.
Get some aviators:
Aviator sunglasses are back in this year, along with the amazing Ray Ban Wayfarer which will be a definite favourite for summer 2010 – look out for the oversized versions by Ray Ban for a particularly cool example.
