Fashionable Footwear and Style This Summer
Fashion and trends can often be a difficult thing to keep up with; something that was stylish a month ago may not be seen the same way anymore? Most of the time, people will just go with whatever trends are spearheaded by the major highstreet chains, such as River Island and Topshop. Whilst this can be extremely helpful in making sure you don’t make any big fashion blunders, it doesn’t help if you’re looking for that little bit of individual style this summer.
So with that in mind, here are two or three hot looks for the summer that should set you apart.
There’s a massive trend at the moment for fashion based around sport. You’ll see it all over the runways and catwalks and will no doubt hit the high street in a few months.
The sports look, casual look and tomboy look are all in style at the moment, so these are the general looks we’re going to focus on.
Combining the three trends seems like a popular theme, so flip flops could be a perfect choice for you feet. You’ll want to pick a colour that compliments your outfit and your skin tone, then add a feminine element to the ensemble (ripped, cut of jeans would be perfect) and you’re all set for the beach.
Go for a named brand when buying your flip flops; it may cost a little more but will increase the cool factor and they’re likely to last a lot longer and be a lot more comfortable. Billabong make some very stylish and affordable pairs, so starting with them seems like a good option.
The tomboy look is very fashionable this year, particularly if you can add some feminine elements to the outfit. To achieve this look you should try cropped tops, skate shoes or high heels (depending on your preference) and shorts, preferably with your hair up.
The sports look is especially in-style this summer, with cricket and golf being the looks of choice. Aim for sports stripes in classic colours, particularly during the day cricket jerseys are especially good for keeping your feminine look whilst looking totally on-fashion.
