Curly hair products are great for maintaining perfect curls in your curly hair. There are a multitude of products available that will take care of nearly all curly hair styles. When you understand the way your hair reacts to different products you will find it much easier to look after your curls.
Shampooing hair too regularly will result in dry damaged hair and most people don’t realise this but you don’t need to shampoo your hair daily. Try using conditioner and shampoo separately and keep your usage of these products to a regular schedule that doesn’t overlap. In fact many people who have great hair use shampoo only once a week.
If you have dry hair and curls this can wreak havoc on your hair and leave you with lots of split ends. If your curly hair is also dry you will want to take extra special care with the products you use. You will therefore want to use a product that can introduce moisture back into your hair.
You can do this in a couple of ways. The best thing to do is use a leave in conditioner as this will let the moisture soak into your hair and then afterwards apply a water like gel that will hold your curls in place and stop them becoming frizzy. Try not to use a gel that is too thick as this will weigh your hair down and reduce the curliness of your hair.
For thin or flat hair you will want to add volume. You can use a technique known as scrunching to do this, which involves applying a small amount of hair styling product when directly after you have styled your hair then scrunching your hair up to provide volume and texture. A diffuser is something else that you can use and is on most good hair dryers. You can even use some hairspray to keep your hair in one place.
